- smigon8868 : I am a huge GNR fan, so happy they are reunited, but I have to say I really don't love this song. Which makes me sad, because "This I love" is my husband's and my "saying" when we do something special together or for one another. I love "November Rain", "Estranged", "Don't Cry", all the original ballads, but I just can't get into this one. It makes me sad that I can't get into it!

You know in the 70s we had black and white songwriters and singers that could do great stuff like this fairly routinely, and Axl has learned from the Masters of song craft and created a modern masterpiece that is as good as anything Lionel Richie, Elton John, Marvin Gaye or Mick Jagger was doing 40 years ago. This song is in that marvelous canon of sublimity and greatness unlike the niggardly ugliness of most of modern music.
